OnePlus Open was presented this Thursday (19). The first foldable mobile phone from the Chinese manufacturer Rely on high-quality cameras and a lighter body iPhone 15 Pro Max.

OnePlus’s foldable mobile phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, as well as 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB storage. The internal and external displays are AMOLED LTPO (variable refresh rate) with the largest at 7.82 inches and the external at 6.31 inches, both with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,800 nits.

The highlight of the Open is its Hasselblad certified camera set. The main sensor has 48 MP with optical stabilization, the ultra-wide sensor has 48 MP and 114° aperture, and the telephoto has 64 MP and is capable of offering 3x optical zoom or up to 120x in hybrid form.

The internal front camera has a resolution of 20 MP and the external front camera has a resolution of 32 MP. The most powerful sensors support 4K video recording at 60 or 30 fps, while selfie lenses can go up to 4K and 30 fps.

The new OnePlus Open can be folded up to 1 million times.

Construction and durability

The structure of OnePlus Open consists of an eight-point bending mechanism made of titanium alloy and carbon fiber. According to the company, This composition supports up to 1 million times.

To reduce the visibility of the crease on the screen, OnePlus has adopted a teardrop-shaped hinge.

Another striking point of the new device is its weight of 239 grams. Even though it’s foldable, it’s lighter than top models in traditional formats like the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Connection

Connectivity features of the OnePlus Open include dual SIM with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and 5G. Having the fingerprint reader on the side may be a negative point for some consumers.

Finally, the battery is 4,805 mAh which should handle the device for a full day with moderate use. Charging is done using 67W SUPERVOOC technology.

Price and availability

New OnePlus On Released in India, North America and Europe. It can now be booked here as a single variant for US$ 1,699 (R$ 8,600 in direct conversion).
