This Wednesday, October 25, the iOS 17.1 update for iPhone was officially released, which addresses some of the gaps that arose in the case of iPhone 12 in France as well as new features for AirDrop and Apple Music.
Let’s look at the features of iOS 17.1:
- the ability to continue AirDrop transfers over a cellular connection if two connected devices move out of Wi-Fi range after the sending process begins.
- Apple Music has a new Favorites feature that lets you add songs, albums, playlists, and artists to your library and map your music preferences to the app’s recommendation algorithms, and an updated StandBy settings menu. will end when the phone screen turns off when using the smart display in this mode.
- The update is also intended to address issues with the iPhone 12 in France, where the country’s regulator has temporarily banned the sale of the device for violating radiation exposure limits.
- Expanded the availability of the flashlight indicator in Dynamic Island and the ability to select a specific album for Photo Shuffle to select images.
To download the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the instructions to install iOS 17.1.
