Last Thursday (30) an 18-year-old woman was arrested red-handed with 17 smuggled iPhones and 14 Apple Watches. Upon arrival domestically, he was detained at Recife Airport (PE).
In addition to iPhones and Apple Watches, the young woman was also carrying five AirPods and over-the-counter testosterone. He was sent to a custody hearing and will face charges in Federal Court for embezzlement and counterfeiting therapeutic and medical products.
According to the federal police, the woman arrived in Recife by plane from São Paulo. All the devices and medications found were in the hand luggage and there was no invoice for any of them. At the airport, the woman tried to escape from the police but was unsuccessful.
In the images shared by PF, it is possible to see various generation models of iPhone 15 Pro, AirPods and Apple Watches. The penalties for crimes committed can reach up to 19 years in prison.
Federal police stated that a similar incident occurred at the same airport last month. At the time, the criminal was carrying R$ 500,000 worth of electronic goods and eight bottles of testosterone.
