These months will be key for Xiaomi. The Asian manufacturer, a leader in the low- and mid-price segment in many regions, is preparing to host HyperOS, an operating system that will replace the popular MIUI customization layer. For the first time, the company has chosen its own system, which will allow it full control over features and updates, while not forgetting that in this way they achieve the desired “dependency” on Google.

It is obvious that among Xiaomi smartphone owners there is a lot of anticipation and at the same time uncertainty regarding the arrival of HyperOS. Because? For now, the manufacturer did not disclose the full list of compatible modelsalthough the support list is expected to be quite extensive and will even cover some older devices.

Despite the above, based on already confirmed information, leaks and intuition, we can prepare a list of all Xiaomi equipment – smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and TVs – that can be updated to HyperOS. It is important to note that sub-brands Redmi and POCO will also join the train of the new operating system. However, keep in mind that not all of them are confirmed.

Why did we include some old devices that are not yet confirmed? Well, Xiaomi itself left hints about their compatibility with HyperOS.

Some curious people have discovered that some MIUI 15 code snippets are present in the preview version of HyperOS 23.9.28. If all these Xiaomi devices have support for MIUI 15, it is highly likely that HyperOS also has it.

Another significant point is that Xiaomi is making efforts to cover as many devices as possible.. HyperOS is not just an update, but a way combine experience different types of products through a single operating system. Therefore, they cannot ignore the hundreds of thousands of teams that are already working there.

As mentioned earlier, HyperOS will arrive on already confirmed Xiaomi devices starting this month. A wave of updates will spread throughout first quarter of 2024therefore, we will have to pay attention to the official statements of the company.
