In 2023, Samsung announced two almost identical smartphones seven days apart, targeting the same segment, in what looks like an attempt to cannibalize itself: Galaxy A54 And Galaxy M54. Public sales seem right and make the Galaxy A54 the preferred option, but is there a reason why you should go for the Galaxy M54? We will tell you about this comparison between Galaxy A54 and Galaxy M54.

Screen and Design: One looks cheap and it’s not the A54
Compared to each other, there is no doubt that the Galaxy A54 is a better looking phone and it also looks more expensive. And the back of the M54 is made of plastic, which pales in comparison to the glass finish of the Galaxy A54. Additionally, the limited range of colors you can find the Galaxy M54 in (blue or grey, which looks more like litmus sun) makes the Galaxy A54 a more premium phone.
As for the screen, they are almost identical. However, if you are one of those who love phones with a huge screen, the M54 will leave you more satisfied.
Different cameras, similar results

If both cell phones seem to be a carbon copy of the other, the most noticeable difference is in the cameras, where a noticeable increase in pixels is seen in the M54’s main sensor, which is 108 megapixels. The macro also has adjustment, but lower, by 2 MP.
The truth is that head-to-head, both teams perform very similarly. The only difference is portrait mode, which looks better and more detailed on the M54.
But since pictures speak louder than words, we leave you with a comparison of pictures taken by both mobile phones.
Performance and battery, the difference is minimal

Another significant difference between the Galaxy A54 and M54 is the latter’s battery capacity. Samsung has decided to market the M series as a heavy-use model, and the 1000mAh battery difference is attractive. That extra 0.3 inches does draw a bit of extra milliamps, though, so yes, expect longer battery life from the M54, but don’t expect a huge difference either.
In terms of processing, we’re looking at the same chipset, so the results will be identical unless you get the A54 with 6GB of RAM.
Galaxy A54 vs Galaxy M54: which is better?
Honestly, none of them stand out from the others unless you’re looking for the longest lasting battery. If so, choose M54.
However, we think the A54 offers better value overall. Yes, its 1000mAh battery is different from the Galaxy M54, but it offers stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP67 rating, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a nicer design, and a more premium look. Also, if you’re looking for both phones, chances are you’ll find the Galaxy A54 first. In short, choose Samsung’s bestseller.
