Owners of the Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone, the most powerful model in Samsung’s current mobile phone lineup, took to Reddit to warn about an issue with the device. Seems like, A green line appears on some devices unintentionally on the screen.
This line is vertical and is located in the right corner of the screen even if the device was repaired at the factory. So far, at least two cases have been recorded in the photo thread shared by users Ok_Marketing_6979 and Independent-Bet-4916.
According to reports, the device did not suffer any physical damage such as being hit by furniture or falling from any height. “I picked up my phone from the table and it has this straight line on the screen. The device has never fallen or overheated,” says one consumer.
Ok_Marketing_6979’s situation is even worse, a white horizontal line at the top also appeared on the screen “even during startup”.
He says he activated Samsung Care+, the brand’s device protection program, after using the device for just six days, but was unsuccessful in purchasing a new device.
In addition to the Reddit and phone link, he also opened a topic on the manufacturer’s support forum, to which no official response has been received.
The brand has not yet commented on the problem.
So far, Samsung has not made an official comment on the issue. Apperantly, vertical line affects a small number of Galaxy S24 Ultra unitsBecause not many reports have been published so far.
Still, those who encountered the problem say that communication with the support team is not positive: The operator and the manufacturer cannot come to a conclusion about who should send a replacement or spare device.
