Report published by the portal Information indicates that Apple is working on two foldable iPhone prototypes, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip and Oppo Find N3 Flip.
According to the report, Apple has begun negotiations with at least one component supplier for its foldable iPhone. However, Apple’s priority is to explore what features could make the foldable iPhone attractive to consumers, as it will be priced higher than more expensive models.
Apple’s designers want the hypothetical foldable iPhone to be thinner than the current iPhone, so that when folded it will maintain a size that makes it look discreet. They have also looked into the possibility of having external screens so that you don’t have to open the phone to use it, as is the case with the external screen of the Oppo Find N3 Flip.
Apple would also like to make sure that the hinge that folds the screen is as discreet as possible, avoiding any marks on the display. The task does not seem easy as Samsung, which also has several foldable models in the market, took several generations to achieve it with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series.
Another one of the features mentioned in the report Information is that Apple may include Apple Pencil integration in its foldable iPhone.
The idea of a foldable iPhone has been circulating in the news of various analysts for several years now. Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most respected analysts in the mobile phone industry, noted in 2021 that Apple could release a foldable iPhone with an expanded 8-inch screen in 2023. The telephone clearly did not exist.
Report Information It is estimated that the foldable iPhone may not be available until 2025 at best. Will we see a foldable iPhone next year?
Along with these reports, some designers have published videos with computerized concepts of what a foldable iPhone would look like.
