Nothing (2a) already has a release date. The company, led by Carl Pei, one of the founders of OnePlus, has confirmed that its first mid-range smartphone will be launched in March next year. The London-based firm already revealed the name of the device a few weeks ago, although it has not yet confirmed other details, such as its specifications.
Nothing claims that Telephone (2a) will be presented on March 5 next year; a week after Mobile World Congress 2023. The launch will take place at 11:30 in the UK, so in Spain it will be presented at 12:30. It is not yet clear whether the company will hold a presentation as such or simply announce the device on its website or social networks. Meanwhile, users can register to stay up to date with all the news and also receive a 20 euro discount on the purchase of this mobile phone, the price of which is not yet known.
Along with the launch date, Nothing published a video detailing some of the reasons why they decided to launch a mid-range mobile phone. And while the design itself has never been shown, there are some scenes showing a few sketches that supposedly confirm what this phone will look like (2).

The sketches, however, do not match the recently released image of the rear of the car. Telephone (2a). In the image, the terminal has a photo module on the side, and in the sketches we see a camera in the center. However, in both cases they appear to have a transparent lid: one of Nothing’s signature features.
In addition, the brand’s first mid-range model, It will not have a distinctive lighting system. which we see on the phone (2). It also won’t be compatible with wireless charging as there are no visible coils on the rear panel dedicated to this feature.
In terms of specifications, the phone (2a) is expected to be powered by a processor. Mediatek dimension 7200, which will be accompanied by 8 or 12 GB of RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. It will also likely feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution.
Its price, we repeat, is still unknown, but Telephone (2a) can cost about 400 euros.
