brand of Asian origin has gotten some good attention lately. It offers not only functional and high-quality products, but also attractive designs: from hubs to cables of all types. Nexode Pro chargers also meet these requirements.

We’ve managed to uncover the 160W, 100W and 65W offerings, so we’re bringing you our first impressions of all of them. First we will tell you some general characteristics.

UGREEN Nexod Pro

The new generation of international brand chargers is equipped with a GaNInfinity chip, which allows for efficient heat dissipation and high conversion speed (to achieve faster charging).

AirPyra is another internal technology that also works in conjunction with the aforementioned chip to provide better performance in a compact size, although it must be said that the more power, the larger the accessory can be.

Finally, Thermal Guard is responsible for monitoring temperature changes in real time, as well as intelligently distributing current to devices without further compromising the life of their batteries.

As for the design, in addition to the fact that it looks durable and reliable, it has a metal layer that does not feel aggressive to the touch, but is elegant.

160W charger

The most powerful UGREEN Nexode Pro charger we tested this time has a power of 160W, but what does its spec mean?

For starters, you’ll be able to connect up to four devices at once thanks to three USB-C and one USB-A ports. Specifically, USB-C 1 delivers a maximum power of 140W (PD 3.1), while USB-C 2 delivers up to 100W.

Well, they are designed so that you can, for example, charge a laptop and a cell phone (compatible with fast charging) at the same time.

USB-C 3 reaches up to 30W, which is enough to power any cellphone without incredibly fast charging, and USB-A reaches up to 22.5W (for connecting a headphone case or other simple electronics).

To make it a little clearer, 160 W is distributed over four ports, but each has its own load limit, described above.

100W charger

The bays have been reduced to three, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to charge your laptop as USB-C 1 offers up to 100W of power.

USB-C 2 is still rated at 30W, which is ideal for powering a mobile phone without impressive fast charging performance. And USB-A (up to 22.5 W) is ready to use in the case for headphones or other equipment that doesn’t require charging.

This is a charger that is a little easier to carry, even in a jacket bag.

65W charger

Consists of three ports: USB-C 1 (up to 65 W), USB-C 2 (also up to 65 W) and USB-A (up to 22.5 W).

It can also power some laptop models, as well as cell phones with almost any (fast) charger. Moreover, this item is ideal for carrying with you anywhere without any hassle.

First impressions

Please note that these chargers do not come with cables; you will have to use the ones that came with your computer or mobile phone (or purchase them separately).

The choice between one UGREEN Nexode Pro model will depend on how many devices you want to charge at the same time, as well as the power needs of each of them. If we had to choose one, without a doubt it would be the 160W option, as it is easier to adapt to different requirements at home or even on the road.
