More photos of alleged iPhone 16 mockups leaked on X, formerly Twitter, this Tuesday (16). Prototypes now shared by the tipster known as @MajinBuOfficial show what Apple’s new handsets will look like and reveal the design of their 2024 launches.

Looking at the images, it seems that the iPhone 16 marks yet another design change in Apple mobile phones, but in a cautious way. The main difference will be in the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. now with vertical pill-shaped rear camera module.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max versions will retain the square module on the back, where the cameras are arranged in a triangular shape. The models also highlight the lines of MagSafe, the accessories and wireless charging mechanism that are the same as the previous models.

The images shared by the tipster do not show the sides of the devices in detail, so there is no way to indicate the Action Button and Capture Button predicted in previous leaks. However, the prototypes do not show that previous information is wrong.

New iPhones should arrive in September

There is no confirmed date for the launch of the new iPhones for now, but Apple should follow tradition and introduce the models between September and October this year. Before that, the company needs to at least give hints about the new mobile phone offering in iOS 18, which is expected to be one of the biggest updates to the system.

There is a lot of preliminary information floating around the internet before the launch finally happens. Now we need to keep an eye on the next leaks to better understand how the iPhone 16 series will refresh Apple’s mobile phone family.
