The Swedish company Polestar, owned by the Volvo group and known for its electric cars, also entered the smartphone market. At least – and for now – only in China. Bloomberg reported that the Chinese company presented at the Beijing Auto Show Polestar Phone, a mobile phone with high-end characteristics that perfectly integrates with the brand’s cars.
The Polestar phone is available in China for RMB 7,388. (about 950) eurosit’s actually a mobile phone produced by the Asian company Xingji Meizu. – which is known for Meizu smartphones – and was developed jointly with Polestar itself, since both companies are part of the same automobile conglomerate called Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
In fact, the smartphone has characteristic design of Meizu mobile phones, albeit with some changes in aesthetics. It is available in white, like Polestar cars, and even has the company logo on it.

Regarding the technical specifications, at the moment we know that the mobile phone Has 1 TB of built-in memory.as well as a three-camera system, the main sensor of which is 50 megapixels.
The Polestar mobile phone also has a customization layer called Flyme Auto, which allows Full integration with cars of the Swedish manufacturer.. This way, users will be able to sync apps, notifications, calls, music, etc. much easier and more intuitively.
The first Polestar mobile phone, the answer to Xiaomi and Huawei

While it may seem strange that electric car company Polestar is announcing a smartphone, the truth is that it is somewhat of a, shall we say, fair strategy.taking into account the strategy adopted by companies such as Huawei or XiaomiHey. Both companies, whose main business has been smartphones for many years, are working on or even announced electric vehicles – the Xiaomi SU7 is proof of this.
So what Polestar has done is a defensive move to prevent Huawei and Xiaomi from creating a much more complete ecosystem having their own smartphones. For example, Huawei has already confirmed that its cars will be integrated with its own operating system, which will be fully compatible with smartphones, even connecting automatically.
At the moment yes, It is unknown whether the Polestar smartphone will be available outside of China., because although the company sells electric cars in Europe and other markets, companies like Xiaomi still don’t sell their cars outside of China. That is, this will not be a disadvantage. We must also take into account that Meizu’s presence in Europe is practically zero.
