The rumor had been in the air for several weeks. And it was finally confirmed. This Tuesday Apple announced its first special event in 2024. This will be, in particular, next Tuesday, May 7th. And given the invitation’s aesthetic, it seems a given that the iPad would be its star.

There are several reasons that make us think about this. First: the name of the invitation, Release, written by hand. Second: in the illustration attached to the invitation, you can see hand holding Apple Pencil. And thirdly: there have been rumors about possible new iPad models for several months now. So all the pieces seem to be in that direction.

Event, yes This will be an unusual time for the company. Specifically, 7am in the Pacific, which is equivalent to 4pm in Spain. The American company usually launches its products a little later: around 10 am in the Pacific region and 7 pm in Spain.

What will be featured at Apple’s Let Loose event? Possibly a new iPad Pro and Air

The most anticipated announcement of the event Release there will be an iPad Pro. It will welcome, among other things, Apple M3 processor which the company also installs on its Mac computers. In addition, this model will be accompanied by a new keyboard, as well as an updated Apple Pencil with magnetic interchangeable tips and Find My integration. The big news, however, is will use OLED screenstechnology that will see Apple replace the mini-LED panels it has been using so far.

Parallel to Apple will release an updated version of iPad Air, an intermediate model of the current range. It will feature a new processor – likely the Apple M2 – and will also come in two sizes for the first time: 10.9 inches and 12.9 inches. The latter, according to some reports, may include mini-LED technology, like the current generation of iPad Pro.

Another expected change to the iPad Air will be changing the position of the anterior chamber (currently located at the top of the screen when held vertically). In the new version, it will be located on the longer sides and will be perfectly centered when the iPad is used horizontally.

In addition to the iPad, No big announcements from Apple are expected at this event.. It is possible that a new version of iPadOS will be released, prepared for new models. But from the point of view HardwareEverything seems to indicate that we will have to wait until WWDC or even September to discover new devices.
