Apple noted that the main idea of ​​the iPad Air is to bring many of the innovations of the iPad Pro to a more affordable price, so the new Air is, in fact, a very interesting version of the Pro, trimmed down from certain characteristics. but significantly higher than any other market offering except Apple.

The new iPad Air comes in two screen sizes: 11 inches and larger which increases to 13 inches., an unprecedented leap never before seen in the iPad, which has always been limited to the company’s laptops. Apple says the 13-inch size of the new iPad Air offers more space for users, more content and more screen. Additionally, the camera has been moved to the side to make video calls easier and features a new set of speakers that are compatible with stereo audio.

iPad Air 2024 with M2: up to 50% faster

Aimed at the legacy of the iPad Pro, New 13-inch iPad Air comes with M2 chip, 50% faster than the M1 and three times more powerful than the previous version with the A12 Bionic chip. According to Apple, M2 delivers unprecedented leaps in artificial intelligence capabilities, including machine learning, and enormous performance of the AI ​​features already included in iOS 17.

The iPad Air, in both 11-inch and 13-inch versions, comes with 128 GB of base storage, which is somewhat reduced for these times, but allows for storage expansion of up to 1 TB.

The new tablet supports Touch ID on the lock button and, unfortunately, doesn’t have Face ID like the Pro version or the rest of the iPhone lineup. It includes Wi-Fi 6E, which guarantees long-term compatibility with the new wireless connection standard, as well as 5G.

The good news is that the iPad Air remains the same price: the 11-inch model. The base version starts at $599, and the 13-inch version starts at $799.and will be available starting next week in four colors: blue, purple, starry and the now classic space grey.
