The iPad Pro isn’t on sale yet, but Benchmarkers for M4 chips Apple, announced alongside this device, has already shown interesting changes in performance compared to the M3 processor.
According to benchmark tests conducted using Geekbench, a popular platform used to evaluate both CPU and GPU CPUs, the Apple M4 chip is capable of score up to 3810 in single-core mode and 14677 in multi-core mode. That’s a significant jump over Apple’s M3 chip, which typically scores 3,087 in single-core tests and 11,702 in multi-core tests.
This is essentially what the Apple M4 chip does about 22% faster than M3 if we talk about single-core tests, and Up to 25% faster in multi-core mode. Of course, the results depend on many factors and are not always accurate, but they serve as a demonstration of improvements over the previous processor.
Interestingly, the Apple M4 includes important changes compared to the M3. Among them updated neural engine capable of performing 38 billion operations per second, focused on artificial intelligence tasks. Additionally, Apple’s new SoC comes with a processor with 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency coresas well as 10-core GPU.
