Xiaomi introduced the new Redmi 13 4G series this Monday (3). The new models aim to strike a good balance between cost and benefit and offer a different look with only 4G connectivity.

The direct successor to the Redmi 12, the Redmi 13 4G is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. On the exterior of the device, there is a 6.79 inch IPS LCD screen with FullHD + resolution and 90 Hz frequency.

The Redmi 13 4G has an array of cameras on the back, arranged in a triangle shape, without modules but with LED flash. There are two sensors, the main sensor being 108 MP and the secondary sensor being 2 MP, aiming for depth detection. There is 13 MP on the front.

The main drawback of Redmi 13 is the lack of 5G network support. Currently, many mobile phones (including entry-level models) are compatible with the new connection and offer superior internet speeds on mobile data.

Powering the device is a 5,030 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support. The system on the mobile phone out of the box is HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14.

Price and availability

The lack of 5G puts the Redmi 13 4G at a disadvantage at launch, and the device is not necessarily cheap. The device was announced in Europe in two versions:

  • Redmi 13 4G (6 GB/128 GB): 200 euros (~R$ 1,140);
  • Redmi 13 4G (8 GB/256 GB): 230 Euros (~R$ 1,310).

Now, There are no predictions regarding the device’s arrival in Brazil.
