While Google’s August 2024 event isn’t until next month, we may already have a good look at what’s to come with the series. Google Pixel 9That’s because the entire Google Pixel 9 lineup has just leaked through the regulatory agency NCC (Taiwan’s version of the FCC), with some revealing photos of all models, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and other important details revealed by Android Authority.
This isn’t the first time information about the Pixel 9 phones has leaked, but this might be the most informative. In addition to photos, we have information about battery sizes, new charging speeds, and more.
Four Pixel 9 devices have appeared in NCC listings: Pixel 9 (model number GUR25), Pixel 9 Pro (GEC77), Pixel 9 Pro XL (GZC4K), and Pixel 9 Pro Fold (GGH2X). Along with these NCC listings are photos of all the internal components of each phone.
The biggest reveal of this leak is the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The internal photos give us some key data that we already suspected from previous renders. It looks like the internal selfie camera is now in the top right corner, rather than slightly off-center like on the first Pixel Fold. The camera panel has also been replaced by a rectangular camera module that houses two pill-shaped camera lenses.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s inner display also has slightly thinner top and bottom bezels, which would be a welcome change. The original Pixel Fold had fairly thick bezels, which was definitely annoying, although you could get used to it over time.
The crease could also be reduced slightly, although this can’t be confirmed until people actually use the phone. Finally, it looks like the hinge design could be improved, as these photos show the Pixel 9 Pro Fold open.

As for the leaked internal images of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, they appear to be in line with previous leaks and renders. The camera module has been redesigned and is now an elongated capsule, while the sides are slightly flatter.
The charging speeds could also be an improvement over what came before. According to NCC, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have 32.67W of power, which can be rounded up to 35W. For reference, the Pixel 8 Pro currently only supports up to 30W charging. NCC also reports a new Google-branded 45W charger.
This report also reveals the battery sizes. Both the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro have a 4,558mAh battery; the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 4,942mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a 4,560mAh battery.
All Pixel 9 models will be Thread-certified, though the base Pixel 9 model will not have UWB.
We expect the Google Pixel 9 series to be unveiled next month during the Made by Google event on August 13, with a launch scheduled for late August.
