Samsung’s Olympic Cell Phones Will Come Off the Podium and Anyone Will Be Able to Buy Them

Samsung Just Taken Back Its Special Olympus Cell Phone Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Editionlimited edition of only 17,000 pieces, intended exclusively for athletes 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

However, complete, sealed phones have already gone on sale on sites like eBay for mere mortals.

A quick search on eBay reveals that many of the phones have never been opened and could now be sold by non-Olympians for a premium. Some listings already have offers of over $2,000 (the standard Galaxy Z Flip 6 starts at $1,099), while others have Buy It Now prices as high as $10,000.

Is it worth all the hype? It’s more of a collector’s item, as it has all the features of the regular Galaxy Z Flip 6, but with a unique yellow color scheme and an exclusive Flipsuit leather case. Samsung has included a free eSIM with 100GB of 5G data and maps with pre-installed apps that make it easy to navigate around the Olympic and Paralympic venues, as well as an unlimited public transport card, which might come in handy if you’re a Parisian.
