Google is changing its app design Google phone adopt some features that are already present on the iPhone. The leak suggests that the technology will leave gestures to answer or reject a call. The Android app will now include two buttons that will facilitate user interaction.
According to a report from Android authorityThe tech giant is testing a new user interface for the incoming call screen. Google Phone app version 145.0.672690850. adds two buttons: one to answer calls (green) and one to reject them (red). While this change seems minor, Pixel users will appreciate it.
Currently, Pixel and any other terminal that has Google Phone set as the default app does not use the two-button interface. Google chose one button with a phone icon that can be moved up if you want to accept a call, or down if you reject it. Although unintuitive, this design has remained unchanged over the years.

The good news is that Google has listened to its users and is planning to update its app design. New version of Googlephone adds “Accept” and “Reject” buttonsand a larger view of the contact.
Changes to the Google app will also affect HyperOS
At first glance, the new interface of the incoming call screen very similar to iOS and One UISamsung Galaxy custom layer. Other Android manufacturers have adopted this design, although some still support interaction using Google gestures.
This is the case with Xiaomi, which uses a sliding button in HyperOS and MIUI. OnePlus also uses this behavior in the latest version of OxygenOS. If Google abandons the old interface and adopts two buttons on the incoming call screen, Xiaomi, OnePlus and all manufacturers will implement it sooner or later.

At the moment, there is no information on when we will be able to see the new interface implemented on Google Phone. This function is in testing phase for a small group of users and it is impossible to activate it. It’s likely that the tech company will make more changes before offering it to the general public.
