Asus has always been able to give its devices a “gamer” look. Just watch the series ROG Phone 8with LED lights, Republic of Gamers branding and its somewhat ostentatious branding. Now for the first time we saw ROG Phone 9at least renderings, as well as some details of what’s going on under the hood.

Website 91Mobiles has published renders of the ROG Phone 9 series along with some additional information. Two different models are expected: Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro, and both versions will be equipped with the new chipset. Snapdragon 8 Elite.

We’re relatively confident that the Standard and Pro models share the same design. The renders also show the ROG Phone 9 Pro running AeroActive Cooler X, an accessory that helps improve airflow and cooling while gaming. It’s unclear from the renders whether the accessory is the same as the Phone 9’s cooler or whether the Pro has an upgraded version.

Both phones have the same front camera and a triple camera setup on the back. In terms of specifications, the ROG Phone 9 will have a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to launch with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage (an absolutely astronomical amount for a phone), as well as a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32MP telephoto lens. The front camera is also 32 megapixel.

The ROG Phone 9 is expected to have a 5,800mAh battery and support 65W charging. If this sounds like absolute phone power, that’s because it is. The specs outshine other flagship models, although this phone lacks some of the extra bells and whistles of a device like Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. We’re not sure exactly how (or if) AI will be included, but Asus has teased some features that hint at AI related to gaming.

However, we won’t have to wait long to find out more details. The ROG Phone 9 series is scheduled to launch on November 19th.
