Xiaomi changed his death list by adding new phones that will lose support. As is customary from time to time, the Chinese manufacturer adds devices that have already served their useful life and will not receive any more updates. The bad news for owners of one of these terminals is that they won’t get HyperOS 2.0.
In the latest Security Center update, the manufacturer has added several models of mobile phones and tablets to its lineup. Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO. According to little thingThe list includes devices such as Redmi 10 2022. Also included are Redmi Note 11 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5, the latter is no longer supported in almost all of its versions.
All mobile phones and tablets on the death list will no longer receive software or firmware updates, including security updates. Typically, Xiaomi offers support for its terminals for 2 years from the date they go on sale. This includes new versions of your operating system (MIUI or HyperOS), security patches, and technical support.
Unlike Samsung or Google, the Chinese company is keeping its strategy the same and expanding support only in specific cases where the vulnerability could affect millions of phones. Xiaomi owners know what they will have to face after more than two years, so this news should not surprise them.
Redmi Note 11 Pro and other Xiaomi phones left without HyperOS 2.0
The issue that draws attention in this Security Center update is that Xiaomi has added the 2022 Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi 10.both announced in early 2022. Although the maximum time has already passed, the devices only appeared on the official website for a moment and then disappeared. The screenshot shows Redmi Note 11 Pro in the Xiaomi section, which could be a mistake.

According to the report, the phones that will remain without HyperOS 2.0 support will be:
- Redmi Note 11 Pro (China)
- Redmi Note 11 Pro+ (China)
- Redmi 10 2022 (MX)
- Redmi Note 10 JE (Japan)
- Poco X3 GT (ID)
- Xiaomi Pad 5 (global)
- Xiaomi Pad 5 (EU)
- Xiaomi Pad 5 (TV)
- Xiaomi Pad 5 (TP)
- Xiaomi Pad 5 (UK)
If you have a Xiaomi mobile phone that is no longer supported, don’t despair. End of life doesn’t mean your phone will stop working, so you can use it for years until it stops turning on. The only downside to older phones is that they don’t have the best Android features or can’t send or display the latest emoji.
