iOS 18.1 is one of the most anticipated versions after the September update. And that’s because there are some special features like the ability to record voice calls, a new front camera control system, spatial photography or new features to take care of your hearing health with AirPods Pro 2. But more importantly, comes with Apple Intelligence and all its associated featuresthat Apple announced in these months but were not yet available. Now they have finally reached all compatible iPhones.
There are also some interesting improvements, such as new options for adding custom connection controls and resetting Control Center preferences, support for RCS Business Messaging, or natural language search in the App Store.
Apart from the key new features, iOS 18 also resolves some very annoying bugs, such as videos recorded in 4K 60 while the device was hot, which could directly lead to it being deleted or unexpectedly restarting at the worst possible moment of the iPhone 16 or. iPhone 16 pro.
Key to iOS 18: Apple Intelligence
The main new features in iOS 18.1 come from Apple Intelligence, although unfortunately they will only be available in a small group of countries and in English, at least at launch. They are expected to be available in Spanish in 2025, and Apple has confirmed that they will arrive in Europe in the spring, without any confirmed date or any mention from Apple. In this sense, if you are one of the lucky ones who can use Apple Intelligence, these are new features. Remember that it is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and later:
