According to a video published by X, the smartphone cannot cope well with Genshin Impact; The game runs with constant freezes, lags and screen flickering. Sometimes the device does not respond to touches at all.

The main reason for this is the new Tensor G5 chip that Google created together with TSMC. It relies on artificial intelligence and photo processing at the expense of performance. As a result, under heavy loads the phone quickly overheats and frequencies drop.

According to tests, Tensor G5 is inferior not only to Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Apple A19 Pro, but also to last year’s Tensor G4. In games, the Pixel 10 Pro XL matches the level of devices from five years ago, such as the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

But the smartphone is still strong at AI tasks like photo enhancement, speech recognition and translation, but for gamers this has proven to be a disappointment.
