Realme C63 vs Realme C61: display and design

Digital Trends

As for the screen, we see similar panels on both phones, both in size, resolution and maximum brightness. The technology of both is IPS LCD, so don’t expect to see the brightest or most saturated colors, and the maximum brightness will be enough that you won’t have any problems indoors, but in bright sun you will have problems with your vision. your phone is clear, completely clear.

Both have a 90Hz refresh rate, so don’t expect super smooth animations, but let’s say that for a lower mid-range standard, both the Realme C63 and the Realme C61 are mid-range.

I did a quick viewing test on both screens, seeing The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Powera series that takes extensive advantage of the HDR screen. The contrast wasn’t incredible, but I wouldn’t say I had a bad experience. In any case, it is difficult to judge this class of phones if you are used to AMOLED panels.

Design-wise, these are definitely good-looking phones that have a much more premium feel than their lineup. The camera placement is similar to that of the latest iPhone models, which always gives it a certain class. The finish of the cases is also attractive, there is a vegan leather version of the Realme C63, very similar to the fantastic Realme 13 Pro+, which also gives it a sophisticated look in its range.

By the way, both phones have mono audio, which can be a bit disappointing, especially in the case of the Realme C63.

Realme C63 vs Realme C61: camera comparison

I have mixed feelings about the cameras of the Realme C63 and Realme C61, and although on paper both phones have exactly the same cameras and the same chipset, I don’t understand why the Realme C61 has a fairly functional portrait mode (I tried it). photographing my daughter during the day under the scorching sun), but not on the Realme C63, which theoretically uses exactly the same sensors and the same chipset.

Below I show several photos that I took in the same place and on the same day, all at Quiosco Morisco in Santa Maria la Ribera, Mexico City.

At first glance, I don’t notice any differences between the photos taken with either phone, which invariably makes me wonder what the value proposition of each phone is, especially the Realme C63, which is a bit more expensive.

Realme C63 vs Realme C61: performance and battery life

Realme has decided to use the Unisoc T612 chipset, the same one that powers the Realme Note 60 and which delivers rather average results. In the case of Realme C63 and Realme C61, the brand highlights the additional virtualized RAM, an additional 6 GB in the case of Realme C63, a total of 14 GB of RAM (8 GB physical and 6 GB virtualized), and 8 GB in the case of Realme C61 (4 GB physical and 4 GB virtualized).

I checked the performance of both phones by playing Call of Duty Mobilea very demanding game that I didn’t expect a better experience on these phones. Surprisingly, my experience was more or less satisfactory, much in line with what I found in the Realme Note 60, albeit with additional virtualized RAM, which the Realme C61 comes with by default.

In terms of battery life and battery life, I got through the whole day with both phones without any problems and got 30% at the end of the day. 45W fast charging provides a full charge in about one hour and 20 minutes.

Realme C63 vs Realme C61: which is better?

Because with the exception of virtualized RAM, a concept that I find difficult to explain to users who just want a phone that works well for WhatsApp and has a decent camera for certain special occasions, I didn’t find a single difference between the Realme C63 and the Realme. C61, I would definitely say that Realme C61 is the best option. Also, the fact that the Realme C61 for some reason has a portrait mode, which I can only attribute to a software addition, I think what’s good, pretty and cheap applies here.
