Samsung gave a little idea of what’s to come new artificial intelligence features in One UI 7. The next version of Samsung’s mobile operating system will debut with the Galaxy S25, although it will be expanded to other models in 2025. Samsung mobile phone owners will not only have access to the benefits of Android 15, but also what is known as the “first operating system with built-in artificial intelligence.”
Days after the debut of the second beta version of One UI 7, Samsung revealed the role that artificial intelligence will play in the future. According to a post on its website, the South Korean company mentions that the new operating system significantly improves the mobile experience through “unprecedented customization.”
One of these components is Now Bara tool that highlights relevant actions in a bar located at the bottom of the mobile phone. The beauty of this feature is that users can access key notifications from the lock screen without having to unlock the phone. While the first details of the Now Bar were announced with the release of the first beta of One UI 7, Samsung said that the space will also display a summary of AI-powered notifications.
The panel will now be one of the main features of One UI 7 on your Galaxy.
Now Bar will take information from all your applications and daily activities. and it would be wise to integrate them depending on the context. For example, if you have a trip coming up, your phone will prompt you to create a folder with the apps you need for quicker access and display a notification when the best time to head to the airport is.
One UI 7 will also integrate other accessibility features into the Now panel, such as travel playlist, weather forecast and other apps what you may need, for example, a translator. If you play sports, you can add controls to the panel to listen to music while you work out, or a stopwatch to record your best times.
Samsung assures that with One UI 7 takes the first step towards a true AI companionand they will do so based on a concept that Apple has been promoting for years: privacy. operating system debuts with Personal Data Engine which guarantees security by storing your data in a secure location protected by Knox Vault. In addition to the encryption key, Samsung will add post-quantum cryptography to avoid unwanted access in the future.
Like Apple, Samsung is working to turn its operating system into a true personal assistant. One UI 7 will be a litmus test for South Korea, which is committed to artificial intelligence as part of its future.
One UI 7 will be released along with the Galaxy S25 at the end of January 2025.. The new Samsung mobile phone will be a new product, although it will later appear in the Galaxy S24 and other models of the company.
