Samsung is about to make a small but very important change in performance Galaxy S25 which will make even the base model – and the smallest one at that – one of the most powerful. This is due to the RAM and storage configuration that the device will appear in.
According to rumors from the portal SamMobileSamsung would finally give up one of the basic configurations of its smartphones. That is, the next Galaxy 25 will not have 8 GB of RAM; memory in which the initial version of the Galaxy S24 is available. Instead, Samsung will bet on include 12 GB as minimum option.
This represents a significant performance improvement, especially when running applications, transferring files, or handling background processes. This will also help AI capabilities which the company includes in its smartphone are faster and more accurate.
Although the above-mentioned media outlets do not provide details on this, it is highly likely that the Galaxy S25 will also come with a higher memory configuration in its base version. It could be 256 GBinstead of 128 GB, which are available in the Galaxy S24; capacity, which may be lacking for those users who prefer to shoot videos or take high-resolution photos.
The Galaxy S25 will also come with new processors.
While this is indeed very good news, we were already expecting this change. In fact, Samsung has also changed the minimum configuration in other models such as the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which also comes with 12GB of RAM.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 will offer better performance than its predecessor, not only thanks to the increase in RAM, but also thanks to its processor, or rather its processors. The company will bet on Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor something we have already seen in other models from manufacturers such as Realme or Xiaomi. Additionally, for other markets they will include Exinos 2500which will match the Qualcomm processor in performance and will also enable features such as Wi-Fi 7.
The Galaxy S25 (as well as the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra) is expected to be announced on January 22.
