The long-awaited feature may finally debut on mobile phones Samsung Galaxy S25because although this sensor exists in the current S24 series and in the Galaxy Z Fold 5, it is not yet activated: a car accident detector to accurately warn when a car accident occurs.

The folks at Android Authority have been looking into the code for the handset, which will debut in January 2025, and have confirmed that the feature may arrive this time too.

“The Car Crash Detect wake-up sensor in these Samsung devices is considered a composite sensor, a virtual sensor that processes and integrates data from the main physical sensors. One UI compiles older versions like One UI 5.1.1. “There’s a hidden system app called ‘MoccaMobile’ that contains code to start and stop the car crash sensor, but Samsung has yet to enable any UI related to the car crash detection feature,” claim the folks at Android Authority.

This feature could certainly be one of the biggest new features of 2025 as it could improve safety, especially when traveling.
