Multilaser announced this Thursday (7) its newest product for kids: Kid Watch. The smartwatch is geared towards children’s safety, gives parents control over the watch’s virtual interactions, and includes a geolocation tracking feature.

The novelty has an intuitive interface, Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity, in addition to a SIM card, and can be connected to a mobile device through the application. The watch has a curved HD color display as well as being water resistant up to 1.5m for up to 30 minutes.

According to the company, this is an alternative for parents who don’t want to give their children a smartphone so quickly, but want to be able to communicate and locate their child. For example, when connected to the parent’s cell phone, the child can receive voice messages, texts, calls and video calls.

In addition, the real-time geolocation service allows parents to follow routes, search the history of places traveled. The watch also has the “perimeter” function, which allows you to limit a range of up to 1 km and parents will be notified if the child exceeds it.

Designed for children ages 5 to 9, users can connect to other people with Kid Watch, where they can exchange messages, access geolocation services and send photos. All these interactions, including the contact list, can be tracked through the app on the parent’s smartphone.

Finally, the company has even introduced a “classroom useless” function so parents can disable the clock during remote lessons to avoid distractions. Kids Watch can be purchased for R$699.99 on the Multilaser website or partner stores such as Americanas, Submarino.
