Twitter user João Menicucci bought an iPhone 13 with a label indicating production in Brazil. On the device box, Apple states that the product was designed in California and “Gathered in Brazil” (Assembled in Brazil).
I just bought an iPhone 13 made in Brazil by Foxconn. MLPF3BR/A A2633. Purchased from an Apple Premium retailer called iPlace. But Google has nothing on Apple producing iPhones in Brazil. The new assembly line was officially introduced after the release of the new Technical Compliance Certificate for the iPhone 13 on January 24 this year. Foxconn’s factory in Brazil, in Jundiaí in the interior of São Paulo, began to appear as one of the cell phone producing units.
Apple seems to be investing in expanding its iPhone 13 production line. Just this month, the company confirmed that smartphone production has also started in India, which produces the iPhone 12 and iPhone SE.
In the Brazilian example, the iPhones 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max If the Jundiaí facility is not listed in the Certificates of Technical Conformity. Therefore, other models are not expected to be assembled in the country.
