The tenth generation iPad was introduced just a few weeks ago, and one of the highlights is, complete redesign. New entry iPad Inherits the design of iPad Pro and iPad Air, with a flat frame and no home button. However, for some reason, Apple has decided not to support the Apple Pencil 2.

Therefore iPad 2022 supports original Apple Pencil with Lightning connector and that it needs to be connected via an adapter to sync with the iPad. And after the dismantling by iFixit, we now know why.

The camera is located where the Apple Pencil is charging

The second-generation Apple Pencil is placed on the right bezel of the iPad to charge and sync, magnetically attach and charge wirelessly. Again, that side now has front camera on the new iPad.

That is, there is no room for all the components, and Apple decided it was more important to have the camera on one side for better use in landscape format. Again, this is a change that can be extended to the rest of the iPad lineupso Apple will need to find a solution.

I guess what the Apple engineers meant was that there wasn’t enough space in the center of the device for the front camera and charging mechanism to be in one place. Without moving the camera, the only remaining option is to slightly move the loading mechanism up or down. You can’t move it up as the pen will turn off the volume buttons. Also, you can’t move it down enough to clear the camera and magnets without the stylus sticking out of the tip of the iPad.

In addition, iFixit discovered other interesting things while tracking down the 10th generation iPad. there is a device Two-cell battery with 7,606 mAh capacityYou can easily see the A14 Bionic chip motherboard, speakers and camera modules as soon as you turn on the device.

The disassembly also shows that the iPad has some features. elastic tabs for battery removalmakes it easy for customers and workshops to replace batteries. this However, the USB-C port is soldered to the board.therefore it is impossible to replace without replacing the entire motherboard.
