THEM Huawei it has officially shown a teaser for its next smartwatch with a very different offering: space for the user to charge their earbuds🇧🇷 Huawei Watch Buds open like an old watch to reveal the tiny earbuds inside.
As expected, the headphones are wireless, albeit just for the sake of space. There are no official technical details about the product at the moment, but other images show small contact points that indicate that the watch can act as a headphone case and charge when stored.
This solution is interesting because such small headphones shouldn’t hold a lot of battery. The problem is that smartwatches aren’t exactly famous for their great autonomy, so spending batteries to charge the earbuds will affect that as well. In addition to the official Huawei Watch Buds trailer, a short hands-on teaser has been released on the QSQ Technology channel:
It would be very interesting to see the watch on the wrist and see how much its size is affected to fit the earphones inside. Although the idea of charging your headset inside the smartwatch is tempting in theory, in practice it may result in compromising both the headset and watch experience.
Huawei’s official teaser states December 2, 2022, so we’ll have new information about the Watch Buds on Friday this week.
