Users of Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Note 10 smartphones will not be able to update the operating system to Android 13. The devices were released under Android 9 in 2019 and only received software updates until Android 12..

The problem is Samsung has said that some smartphones can be updated by three generations of the operating system.Including Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite. They’re in the same line as the S10 and Note 10, but they’ve already been released with Android 10 so they can use the newer system. This confused some users.

Well, Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite may feature some One UI 5.1when it launches alongside the Galaxy S23 series expected in the first quarter of next year.

Which models were excluded from the updates?

Only security updates will be available for other South Korean brand phones. Samsung models that will no longer have the latest Android version include:

  • galaxy s10e
  • Galaxy S10 and S10 5G
  • Galaxy S10+
  • Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 5G
  • Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G

Devices will have security updates at least quarterly for a little over a year. The S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite will receive monthly updates until the end of 2023.
