Motorola was one of the first manufacturers to enter the foldable phone market with the Razr, a model similar to the iconic Motorola V3 to attract the most nostalgic users. And now it looks like his next move will be: Introduce the first roll-up phone.

Or this is what emerges from the latest message posted by the well-known Twitter leaker @evleaks, who has released e-related information in collaboration with 91Mobiles.Motorola’s new foldable phone will be codenamed Felix.

We have to tweeze this information to say we are dealing with a rumor or leak. Considering the highly reliable source, we can give enough truth to the data they publish.

What can we expect from Motorola’s first foldable phone?

On the one hand, we would be before tthird generation folding (note that they released a 5G model shortly after the first Razr) and we already know some of the specs. This model, code-named Maven, would have high-end features, even if Samsung attempted to offer a mid-size product with a design closer to the Galaxy Z Flip family.

In the case of Motorola’s new foldable, this Maven model would have a more square design in addition to the fingerprint reader on the power button. Release date? It may be available in China this summer.

On a technical level, this folding phone would have had Qualcomm’s current gem, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, in addition to 8 to 12GB RAM configurations. We don’t have panel data, but we do know that the photography section will include a 50-megapixel prime lens with a 1.8 focal aperture.

Regarding the Felix model, all we know at the moment is that it’s in the early stages of development, so we don’t know what it will look like. While the leak shows that its flexible display is motorized and allows vertical placement, until the manufacturer confirms its existence, all we can do is wait for them to make the relevant official presentation to see what surprises us. The new folding phone is expected to be available this summer, possibly in July, so it’s also possible that they might surprise us. Motorola’s first foldable phone.
