ChatGPT is the next great technological revolution. Whether it’s explaining memes like an expert or getting better results in university exams, GPT-4 has already managed to surprise us in a short amount of time. Now developer Morten Just used the power of AI to create an iPhone app and in a few minutes the model assembled fully functional, as he wanted. But this isn’t the first time ChatGPT has taken on developer tasks; we have already seen how he created a variant of the popular flapping bird and an entire web page.
Morten Just tweeted the instructions he gave GPT-4 to get them to build the app. “Hello, GPT-4, make me an iPhone app that recommends 5 movies every day + trailers + where to watch. He also asked me to code in SwiftUI, Apple’s language.
Soon, GPT-4 has already thrown lines of code that, once built, reveal a fully functional application.. The most amazing thing is that, in fact, he did exactly what the developer wanted. Morten took the opportunity to tweet a video demonstrating the iPhone app in action.
Although the first build this application had some problems, the developer asked GPT-4 to fix them. The AI model is not only identified and documented these mistakes successfullybut also apologized once the process was complete.
GPT-4 greatly surprised Morten with his diligence and accuracy. Instead of giving the same code over and over with each requested modification, ChatGPT is updated section by section. So, the developer just had to copy and paste in the right area.

Ambitions with GPT-4 can be very high if you know how to use it
Morten is not the first developer to use the power of ChatGPT to generate code. A few months ago, a report claimed that Amazon workers are already using this AI as a code helper. Unfortunately, the company had to ask its employees to stop this practiceas they inadvertently leaked confidential information about the company, which was later used by OpenAI to train the chatbot.
But, Imagine the possibilities if Apple integrated AI like GPT-4 into their Swift Playgrounds or Xcode tool? The first reports that Cupertino is working on a language generation model have already begun to arrive. So it may be that in a future version of these applications we can enjoy the option Designed by Apple from ChatGPT.
