This Thursday (4), Motorola announced its arrival Moto Edge 40, the company’s new premium smartphone for the European market. The announcement came after the technical specifications of the device were leaked in the past months.

Appearance is one of the strengths of this device, because acrylic structure in blue colorwith or vegan leather back for black, green and red versions. The edges, which are only 7.58 mm thick, are aluminum coated and connect to the screen with curved edges. there is also IP68 certification against water and dust.

The camera module is square in shape with two large sensors. there is main 50 megapixel resolution, the second adds a 13 MP ultra-wide lens with macro function. It has 32 MP for front camera center and selfies. In terms of video recording, both cameras can record up to 4K at 30fps or Full HD at 60fps at the rear.

The screen is one of the strengths of the Motorola Edge 40, as it has a 6.5-inch screen. POLED panel, 144Hz refresh rate and Full HD resolution. HDR10+ technology is available and the peak brightness can reach up to 1,200 nits. The speaker of the device has stereo sound and compatibility. Dolby Atmos.

Internally, the selected processor MediaTek Dimension 8020 5GIt is paired with 8GB of RAM memory (LPDDR4X) and up to 256GB of internal storage, with no possibility of expansion via microSD. The battery has a capacity of 4,400 mAh and supports fast charging of 68W wired or 15W wirelessly. The device still runs Android 13 from the factory with the My UX interface.

The Moto Edge 40 is currently sold in the European market for 600 Euros, around R$3,300 in direct conversion. The handset is expected to arrive in Brazil in the coming months, but no confirmation from Motorola yet.
