LG has announced its first OLED monitor specifically aimed at gaming with the UltraGear 48GQ900. The 47.5-inch panel combines 4k resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and can be boosted to 138Hz by overclocking. The manufacturer claims gtg response times are only 0.1ms, plus both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium are available.

The display has HDR10 certification and can cover 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, with an average brightness of 135 nits. Connectivity consists of three HDMI 2.1, a display port connector, and two USB type-a ports. There’s a headphone jack on the front and two 20W speakers are also built in.

In terms of ergonomics, it provides footrest and height adjustment provided, although exact figures are not shared. Also, the 48GQ900 comes with a remote control to instantly change the volume or other settings.

The new UltraGear monitor is expected to launch in Japan this month. LG states that it will also come to Europe, although it is not clear when. A suggested retail price was also not specified.
