Some smart users noted that the latest driver for Nvidia graphics cards means that the built-in hashrate limitation can no longer be exceeded. For example, Twitter user Lucas Peperaio reported that the 512.95 WHQL version re-enables previously broken limits when mining certain cryptocurrencies.

YouTuber Juliano Caju, among others, shows that after installing the new driver, his RTX 3060’s hash rate dropped from 46.14 MH/s on NBMiner to 25.15 MH/s – or 54% of full speed. Depending on the exact algorithm and software, the speed is reduced to 50 to 70 percent.

Videocardz clearly showed the difference.

However, the return of LHR does not mean that mining at full speed will be impossible. Users can choose not to install it, as the update is not mandatory. Also, the previous driver is more likely to be available online. The only target groups that seem to be affected by this measure are people who want the latest driver and also want to use their cards for mining – occasionally or not.
