Discord is finally adding text chats to voice channels on servers

Discord is the world’s leading gamer platform, available for both computers and phones, that allows you to chat and share files with friends and colleagues.

This social platform allows you to create chat groups for different games and purposesand today it is the most used, leaving behind other platforms such as Skype or TeamSpeak, which divided users before its introduction.

Working through servers which anyone can create for freeand it allowed the creation of text and audio channels, but always separated from each other.

Now you can create voice channels, which in turn will integrate text chats into them so that you can not only talk with friends, but also exchange images, links, images, or whatever you see fit.

The fact that this feature has been added to these voice channels, which also have support for video calls, It can be very interesting when we have those conversations where we mention a meme or news item..

Previously, we had to send a link or photo through some text channel or create it temporarily for sending while the server is ours, in other cases it could be chaotic.

If we have a server where we want to activate this new feature we just have to go to the server settings and we will see the function to activate it.as we show you in the photo above.

The advantage of this integration is that will have the same characteristics as normal text channelsso moderators will be able to customize their settings and/or restrictions.

This function available from today for all servers, although it can only be activated on servers for private use at the moment. Those listed as “Communities” will not yet be able to access this feature.

But don’t worry, as the company itself has announced a June 29 deadline for the full implementation of this feature.
