Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 will reportedly use significantly more power than its predecessors. By leaky @kopite7kimi midrange gpu will get a higher tdp than current RTX 3070. There have been rumors of (significantly) increased tdp of higher positioning RTX 40 boards for some time now.

Since the RTX 3070 has a TDP of 220 watts, the RTX 4060 seems to consume at least 225-230 W. That’s well over the 170 W predicted by the RTX 3060 and nearly double the GTX 960 and GTX 1060 (120 W). For reference, the RTX 2080’s tdp was 215 watts – and tdp ratings for the upcoming RTX 4090 are expected to be at least 450 W.

The RTX 3060 had a TDP of 170 watts.

Wccftech predicts that Nvidia will announce the RTX 4060 at CES 2023, i.e. in January. Site listings for higher rated cards are launching October, November and December (for 4090, 4080 and 4070 respectively) later than previously thought.
