Luvly, a Swedish electric vehicle company, seems to have found a solution to offer a low-cost vehicle aimed at urban use. Lovely Owhich is delivered to customers disassembled, like a piece of furniture from Ikea.
In particular, this electric car is an alternative to the Citroën Ami, which the French company sells in Europe. It also has a very compact design, Length 2.7 meters, height 1.44 meters and weight 400 kg.. Luvly O also has features designed for urban routes, such as a speed of 90 km/h and a range of 100 km thanks to a removable 6 kWh battery.
However, the most interesting thing about the Luvly O is how the car gets to the buyer. Does it completely disassembled, like furniture from the Swedish multinational company Ikea. Of course, the Luvly O car must be assembled not by its own owners, but by a specialized company.
For this the company is in talks with local assembly centers to make this possible. So when someone buys a Luvly O, they receive a container at their nearest center with all the parts needed to assemble it. This measure also allows the company to save on transportation costs, since up to 20 unassembled models can be placed in one container.
The company claims that the Luvly O is a reliable car despite its distinctive design.
One of the concerns that users may have about Luvly O is its sustainability. The company claims that the car is completely safe.. Mainly because it consists of a “strong, lightweight safety cage that uses multi-layer joints and additional energy absorption zones on the outside to provide good occupant protection.”
Coming to the exterior of the Luvly O, it is a strictly designed car with a front end highlighted by an LED lighting system and a two-seater cabin with no multimedia system or anything like that.
Luvly O goes on sale this year at a price of 10,000 euros for a single configuration with an engine with a maximum speed of 100 km/h. For now, the company only allows users to sign up for a waitlist so they can be notified as soon as their car is ready to ship.
