According to Porsche, the new Taycan Turbo GT achieves impressive performance thanks to technological and aerodynamic improvements, as well as the use of lighter materials in its production.

In the case of the regular Taycan Turbo GT, Porsche used carbon fiber on the B-pillar moldings, on the sills and on the rear-view mirror housings. This includes, among other modifications, lighter carbon fiber-reinforced polymer seats, a redesign of the brake disc chamber and brake caliper body itself, and the elimination of the electric trunk lock. According to Porsche, the weight savings in the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package are even more significant. Since this option was developed for use on the race track, it does not include two rear seats. It also doesn’t have speakers in the rear, and instrumentation, insulation material and even the carpets in the cabin and trunk have been removed to make it lighter. Carbon fiber trim is used to cover the rear part of the cabin, in the absence of seats.
