Hyundai has unveiled what the future of its electric sedans will be. IONIQ 6, successor to the current line BEV companies, comes with a futuristic design (which will remind many of Porsche), as well as with aerodynamics and simple and elegant aesthetic lines like a flag. Its design is perhaps the most spectacular section 100% electric sedan, most of the technical characteristics of which are not yet known.
For now, as we’ve said, we’ll have to settle for the IONIQ 6’s classic-inspired design. streamlined, quite popular in the late 1930s and inspiring many modern design concepts. In this sense, the IONIQ 6 combines this aerodynamic design with a very innovative use of environmentally friendly materials in both its production and its construction.
The design of the IONIQ 6 is inspired by the Prophecy EV concept, a BEV concept that the company unveiled in 2020 that certainly looked impressive. While not as futuristic as the Prophecy, the truth is that IONIQ 6 shares Many concept elementsespecially those curved lines and that simple yet aerodynamically efficient design.
From concept to road: IONIQ 6 design impresses
IONIQ 6 combines an emotional convergence of functionality and aesthetics. The distinctive aerodynamic design is the result of a close collaboration between engineers and designers based on an obsessive attention to detail and customer focus. We have created IONIQ 6 as a conscious cocoon that offers a personalized space for everyone.

However, design is not only a spectacular aesthetic section, it is also related to the vehicle’s concept design and utility.. Those curves give the IONIQ 6 an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.21 thanks to a low nose, active air dams up front, reduced wheel space and slim digital side mirrors (which will be optional, by the way).
In addition, to further improve the aerodynamics of the IONIQ 6, an elliptical wing spoiler was also included, small boat tail structure and a spacer fairing on both sides of the rear bumper. Even under the car, a full undercarriage shroud, optimized spoilers and reduced wheel arch clearance were included.
IONIQ 6 also integrates more than 700 parametric-type light pixels in various areas of the body, including headlights, combination taillights, lower front gauges, ventilation trim and gauges on the center console. One great application of this technology is also the rear wing brake warning system, which dynamically illuminates when the brake is applied.
At the moment we will have to wait for the official presentation to find out all the technical details of the car, especially sections related to electrical engineeringtechnical characteristics of the car, and most importantly the price at which IONIQ 6 will enter the market.
