Tesla appears to be delivering on a promise it made last October when it confirmed its intention to triple its charging stations around the world over the next three years. The electric vehicle company founded and run by Elon Musk confirmed in early June that it had a total of 35,000 superchargers worldwide and now, continuing its expansion plan, broke a new record during installation 100 new chargers for your cars in France in one day, which accelerated the introduction of these devices in Europe.

General, Tesla has installed 104 charging points at 5 stations in France.. They all Superchargers v3, which provide a maximum power of up to 250 kW and can give the Model 3 about 120 km of autonomy in just 5 minutes. On the other hand, they are added to the already existing 35,000 charging stations scattered around the world.

On the other hand, the installation of new Superchargers comes at a crucial moment for users; holiday season. These days, queues of drivers line up at charging stations who need to charge the battery for the trip. Now, in addition, the company opened its chargers for cars of other manufacturers, so it is likely that the inflow will be even higher than in other years. However, Tesla has confirmed that it is using different strategies to avoid overcrowding charging stations.

Despite the large proliferation of Superchargers, Tesla has measures in mind to avoid queues at charging points.

One of them is the inclusion of portable chargers at those charging stations where there are more vehicles. Also price adjustments during less crowded hoursas well as improvements in the navigation system, allowing, for example, to remove the busiest charging stations from the route.

In any case, Tesla is also increasing the volume of stationary superchargers at various charging points. The proof of this is the number of devices in the French stations. Some of them have up to 20 new chargers, others even reach 28 superchargers.

By the end of 2023, Tesla is expected to have a total 40,000 superchargers around the world. Some of them, of course, are present in Europe.
