WhatsApp seems to be serious about improving and evolving its platform, where in recent years it has stood out for making almost no important and necessary changes and just feeling like you’re doing the right thing.

While it doesn’t come close to Telegram’s level in terms of improvements, new features, performance, or important updates, yes it’s true whatsapp is trying and it’s good news for everyone.

After introducing their own desktop version for Windows last year and recently announcing that they will make a native version for macOS, the latest this is already a reality, and we checked it.

We find the first initial window that welcomes us to WhatsApp and which, after clicking “Continue”, will take us to the window to scan the QR code and thus we can link our device.

Once this step is done we find a rather simple look but well adapted to the language and design of macOSwhere on the left we can see different options, which can then be hidden if they are not needed.

Once a chat is selected, the view is virtually identical to what we can find on WhatsApp Web or its Electron-based version that we find in the App Store today. but yes, with extreme fluidity.

Among some of the things we were able to notice, loading media files before logging in hardly works if we go to a profilebut this is to be expected in a version that can be called alpha.

We have to admit that the fluidity between tabs, conversations and transitions is very fluid and the CPU consumption is minimal while we are using the app. benefits of using the native language of each company.

For now, the only way to use this app is through Apple Testflight, where you can register here, and it is expected to replace the version found on the App Store in the coming weeks.
