A new attraction will appear in Dubai: a floating medical oasis. The island will house medical infrastructure, residential areas and research centers. The space will be for pedestrians only.
The project for the futuristic Dubai Healthcare City floating island was presented by the architecture firm Kalbod Studio.
The oasis will be in the shape of a crescent. For the design of the project, the studio uses an abstract combination of parametric shapes and patterns of Islamic geometry.
In the central skyscraper with an area of 1 million square meters. m will organize an exhibition hall with an area of 670 thousand square meters, as well as a library, a science and technology park and a development department.
The Dubai Healthcare City hub will house research facilities and, flanking it, residential and medical infrastructure facilities with patient residences. The island will be equipped with a monorail underwater transportation system, the entire area of the oasis will be free for pedestrians.
