If we look back, just a couple of years ago, foldable mobile phones were nothing but concepts in the future and sometimes felt like something absurd, with certain models presented but not for sale, although in the end everything went much faster than expected.

Today, there are already several foldable phones available to buy, all with Android, since Apple has not yet entered this market, although all indications are that sooner or later it will.

Throughout this time at ComputerHoy, we have been testing some of the best that have been released on the market, showing our opinion on them. And the fact is that among the leading brands we find Huawei and Motorola, but above all Samsung with its Galaxy Z Flip3.

It is this company that recently shared its data on the expansion of terminals of this type, and they still remain unsurpassed.

However, Motorola is on the heels of Samsung and will release its foldable RAZR 3 a week before the Galaxy Z Flip 4. (August 2 vs August 10), thereby advancing the launch schedule to counteract the more than likely large sales of the latter.

And it’s not just that it’s ahead of the date, it’s also that this flagship has significant improvements. Previous RAZR models packed rather dubious hardware into expensive foldable cases. But everything will change.

This new model is expected to feature a 120Hz refresh rate compared to the previous model’s 60Hz, a 50MP main camera and a 13MP sensor combo, and talk about an aesthetic very similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It is also expected that AMOLED FHD+ screen. The foldable main display will likely grow to 6.7 inches, up from 6.2 inches on the RAZR 5G.

According to XDA Developers report, the phone can carry Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoCsupport for ultra-wideband (UWB), up to 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of internal memory, an additional display and NFC support.

One of the most significant design changes might be elimination of the thick chin characteristic of the RAZR line. The fingerprint sensor will also be moved to the power button.
