Recently, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared some progress on the first AR/VR headset from Apple.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will unveil its first headset with an ad hoc event that will take place in January 2023. In other words, Apple does not want its new product to share the stage with other devices. Therefore, the launch will take place with an event exclusively dedicated to virtual and augmented reality.

The analyst also anticipates the possible price of the product. As has been speculated by several other sources in the past, the headset will not come cheap at all. Forget a product designed for the masses, the product that may arrive in several years. Apple’s first VR headset costs over $2,000. It will be a product designed for an extremely demanding audience. How demanding? Well, enough to want a product with 8K resolution, 12 cameras for tracking the movement of the hands and a processor of the latest generation (Kuo is talking about the M1 Pro, however, other sources expect an M2) .
