On both devices we find the sensor BioActive – introduced with the fourth generation -, that is, a single chip to manage three different sensors: heart rate, bioelectrical impedance and electrical heart signal. The combination of these three sensors makes it possible to measure the values of the heartbeat, oxygen levels in the blood, as well as stress levels, blood pressure. It is also possible to electrocardiogram. The two wearables are also equipped with an infrared sensor to measure body temperature, as well as a function that allows you to estimate the Body composition. In short, a truly complete package of health functions.
The two models differ from each other by the type of home. The Watch 5 Pro has a titanium case and a reinforced sapphire crystal dial. It is ideal for those who need a very resistant smartwatch, perhaps because they like to spend a lot of time in nature or during sports.
The Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro will be available in Italy from August 26. The Galaxy Watch5 is available in two sizes, 40 and 44mm, and starts at €299 for the Bluetooth model of the Watch5, up to €349 for the model with LTE connectivity. As for the Watch 5Pro, you should go up to €499 and €549 respectively.
