Phone updates can sometimes be off-putting for users who notice that some news items are blocked or linked to others, and for Android 13 those who Pixel 6, 6 Pro or 6a it can certainly be a big problem considering that as explained by google once the new update is done there is no way to go back.

As explained on the pages of android police in fact, a new notification says everything, explaining that an update to the bootloader anyway blocks the ability to revert to previous versions after flashing Android 13.

The company has not had the opportunity to explain the reasons behind a choice of this type, with the Android Flash Tool, which instead highlights how the previous versions have a vulnerability that consequently forces a switch to Android 13, with any manipulation that could cause various damage and which led to the elimination of the possibility of downgrade.

It’s certainly not nice to know that the company doesn’t let users take this risk knowingly, but at the moment there isn’t much that can be done about it.
