Great news (some more than others) is coming to WhatsApp. And it’s that we have a season where the typical messaging app doesn’t stop in its continuous improvements to offer the best experience for all its users. Today we bring you a new feature that we hope will be implemented in the Meta app.

The last ones we repeated were the ability for group admins to delete all messages and a new feature that would allow us to monitor the storage space taken up by other media, such as voice memos and stickers, which are so used today.

On the other hand, WhatsApp already allows you to delete messages more than 2 days after they were sent, which was recently added.

As for the one we’re dealing with today, WABetaInfo has announced that WhatsApp intends to launch a feature to undo and restore messages deleted by mistake.

As always, this is currently in beta and can be accessed by some testers. This latest beta, now available for both iOS and Android, includes this feature.

We leave you with the image provided by WABetaInfo so you can get an idea of what this new update will look like.

With respect to this revealing screenshot, we can see how a bar at the bottom will appear when an attempt is made to delete a message for you: in this case you have a few seconds to receive a message if you previously wanted to delete it for everyone.

At the same time, the idea of a meta-application is to the ability to go back in time when you wanted to delete a message for everyone and did it only for yourself.

Of course, this new feature, either by mistake or simply out of regret about deleting something you don’t need, seems very fortunate. Anything that involves giving up on one of our decisions is sure to bring relief to more than one.
