google announced an imminent change in the way hers works algorithms. In the future, the search engine will be refined to penalize unwanted content – give it to clickcbait articles content created by artificial intelligence, copied and pasted or written with unscrupulous SEO techniques.
The goal, the company explained, is to show users high quality content.
The change will be gradual and will include several updates that will be rolled out month by month between now and the end of the year. Google wants to make it easier for the user to discover valuable and actually useful articles. Content made for people, in short, and not to trick the search engine algorithms.
The first update – which Google mentions’Helpful content update‘ – will be released over the course of next week. Even if Google doesn’t go into details, the company explains that it needs to reduce the visibility of non-original content, i.e. copied, and poor-quality content.
Google itself admits that this change – which is very complex and ambitious – will require various refinements over time and that the new approach will only bear fruit in a few months.
Google will also update its best practices to help content creators adapt to the new guidelines.
